“An intricate intersection of high-end materials, technology, advanced manufacturing and beautiful design – all executed immaculately. The end product is an elegant, functional and highly desirable range that is underpinned by good design and solid environmental credentials.” The Judges commented

The reaction to the worldwide launch of this revolutionary range has been immediate and positive. Robert Wilson commented “I am now confident we have a winner. With the question mark over the safety of melamine and the lack of innovation in this category, the market is looking for something new to drive sales”.

The collection has been designed to replace melamine. It is made from a new high density and tough Dupont material which contains 37% renewably sourced material – in this case corn waste from Kentucky. This is a premium leading-edge material from an ethical leading-edge company. There are no question marks over its safety.

The advantages or the Dupont material over melamine is that Palm guarantees it to be unbreakable and dishwasher safe, food can be reheated in a microwave, it is 100% recyclable (melamine 0%) and the surface has a mirror finish like fine bone china. The scratch resistant issue with plastic plates has been overcome with the toughness and density of this material and by the addition of the same technology that is used to make computers and phone scratch resistant.
